Seeking adventure? Looking to teach in a public school setting overseas? Currently, there are 100s of available teaching opportunities with Provincial Departments of Education throughout Korea. Our schools are looking for teachers who love to educate and have a desire to do your best.

Primarily, successful applicants will be required to conduct English conversation classes at the assigned school. Applicants will also be required to teach Korean English teachers different aspects of EFL teaching methodology or language acquisition, which entails the introduction of useful or new methods of using games or other forms of interaction to stimulate a communicative classroom learning environment.

Basic Requirements

    • Must be a citizen of one of the following countries: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, United States, or the United Kingdom.
    • Native speaker of English
    • BA Degree or higher (English and Education major preferred)
    • Teaching experience is preferred, but not required.
    • Dedicated, enthusiastic, professional

General Working Conditions

    • Contract is 1 year (E-2 working visa holders are permitted to stay in Korea for 1 year. This is renewable)
    • Teaching hours approximately 88 hrs/month
    • You will be teaching a class of approximately up to 40 students ranging in age from 10 years old to 18 years old (Elementary to High School). You will be working with a Korean teacher. Your Korean teacher can help you with your classes and clear up any miss communication between you and your students (Please note that you do not teach together at the same time) and care about you very much helping you our eagerly and with respect.
    • Monday to Friday (Some institutes might offer Saturday classes)

Renumeration

Salary ranges from approximately $1,800 to 2,300 US dollars a month depending upon qualifications and experience.

Payday is on the 25th day of each month (or the immediately preceding business day if the 25th is a National Holiday or on the weekend) Settlement allowance : KRW 300,000 (first year only), Severance pay : you will be paid one month's salary as a severance payment if you complete your one-year contract, in accordance with the Labor Standards Act of Korea.

Approx. 3%(Depending on your salary), which is exempted for foreigners, except for Canadians, for the first two employment years in Korea)
